Kitchening & Co. is a small, detail-driven wholesale bakery specializing in French macarons and marshmallows. Our production facility is an SQF certified facility, and food safety, documentation, and consistency are non-negotiable here.

This role is best suited to someone who enjoys structured production environments, follows SOPs precisely, and takes pride in producing high-quality food—every batch, every day.

Schedule & Compensation (Read Carefully)

  • Shifts availability betweeen Monday to Saturday
  • Kitchen operates between 6:00am–6:00pm
  • Entry-level wage: $18.50–$21.00/hr, based on experience
  • Candidates with a proven track record in SQF / GFSI-regulated facilities and demonstrated leadership potential may be considered at a higher wage band

This Role Is Not a Fit If:

  • You are uncomfortable following written SOPs and completing paperwork
  • You prefer unstructured or “figure-it-out-as-you-go” environments
  • You cannot reliably lift up to 25 kg
  • You are looking for evening-only or weekend shifts

Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Ability to follow SOPs, GMPs, and food safety procedures exactly as written
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and production pace
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada

Strong Preference Given To Candidates With:

  • 1+ year experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, or food production facility in HACCP, SQF, or other GFSI-recognized facilities
  • Familiarity with allergen controls, traceability, and documentation
  • FoodSafe Level 1 or Process Safe (or willingness to obtain—training available)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting daily production of macarons and fillings (mixing, depositing, baking, filling, packaging)
  • Accurately completing production records, CCP checks, and traceability logs
  • Operating commercial equipment (mixers, depositors, ovens)
  • Maintaining sanitation and organization standards throughout the shift
  • Assisting with dishes, cleaning, and kitchen close-down
  • Working closely with a small, high-performing team
  • Supporting ongoing SQF readiness and process improvements
