Storage and Shelf Life Guide

Macaron Storage & Shelf Life Guide

Proper storage is essential to maintaining the texture, flavour, and overall quality of our macarons. Please follow the guidelines below for best results from production through to consumption.

Frozen Storage (Recommended for Long-Term Use)

Shelf life: Up to 1 year from manufacturing date

Our macarons are designed for frozen storage, allowing them to retain freshness, structure, and flavour over extended periods.

Storage instructions:

  • Store in original sealed packaging
  • Keep frozen at -18°C or below
  • Do not repeatedly thaw and refreeze

Thawing instructions:

  • Transfer from freezer to refrigerator and thaw for 6–8 hours or overnight
  • Once thawed, allow macarons to rest at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before serving

Refrigerated Storage (Display and Short-Term Use)

Shelf life: Up to 10 days refrigerated

Refrigeration is suitable for short-term holding, retail display, or near-term consumption.

Storage instructions:

  • Store at 0–4°C
  • Keep in sealed packaging to prevent moisture loss and odour transfer
  • Avoid storing near strong-smelling foods

Serving recommendation:

  • Allow macarons to sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving to enhance texture and flavour

Marshmallow Storage Guidelines

Shelf life: Up to 5 months from production date

Our marshmallows are best stored under stable, dry conditions to maintain their soft texture and flavour integrity.

Storage instructions:

  • Store in a cool, dry room temperature environment
  • Keep in original packaging or airtight container
  • Keep out of direct sunlight
  • Do not refrigerate or freeze and thaw

Handling note:

  • Exposure to humidity or temperature fluctuations may affect texture and surface quality
  • Best enjoyed within the recommended shelf life for optimal freshness

Quality and Handling Notes

  • Macarons are sensitive to humidity and temperature fluctuations
  • Marshmallows are sensitive to moisture and should be kept dry at all times
  • Consistent cold-chain management ensures optimal macaron quality
  • Once thawed, macarons should not be refrozen
  • Always follow recommended storage conditions for best performance
